One of my favourite activity when I go to different island in Thailand is Snorkeling.[ดำน้ำตื้น dam nám dtêun]

There are many islands in Thailand you can snorkeling. Here is the list of island I have been to. But first of all I wan to teach you The word island in Thai is เกาะ [ gòr] but many times you see in the sign Ko or Koh.By the way The correct pronunciation is gòr

1.Koh Larn เกาะล้าน [gòr láan]

1.Koh Larn เกาะล้าน [gòr láan] is the closest island from Bangkok. It is in Chonburi Province. You have to take the boat at Bali hai pier [แหลมบาลีฮาย: lǎem baa-lee haay]

Bali Hai Pier is located in South Pattaya, near Walking Street. You can get there by taxi, tuk-tuk, or songthaew สองแถว [sǒrng-tǎew] (shared taxi) from anywhere in Pattaya.

4.Koh Kood เกาะกูด [gòr gòod]

4.Koh Kood เกาะกูด [gòr gòod] is an island located in the Trat Province of Thailand, near the border with Cambodia. It is the fourth largest island in Thailand.

The most convenient way to get to Koh Kood from Bangkok is to take a flight from Bangkok to Trat. Bangkok Airways operates few flights from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport to Trat Airport, with flight times ranging from 50 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Flying to Trat is the most convenient way but it is also the most expensive way .Why? because you still need taxi to go to Laem Sok Pier ,which is the main departure point for boats to Koh Kood.

Last time when I went to Koh Kood we were driving from Rayong to Laemsok Pier.It took us about 3 hours and 30 minutes. The we took the ferry with air conditioner to Koh Kood.

Here is some video short lesson I took when I went to snorkeling around Koh Kood.
